Master your body through movement. Forge's Functional Fit program uses functional exercises to strengthen and condition the musculoskeletal system, improve balance and stability, and improve the cardiovascular system. Each class will consist of up to 3 components: skill acquisition, strength training, and high intensity conditioning.
Level 1 (Beginner + Intermediate)
Master the basics of functional gym movements. Each class will consist of a combination of:
Level 2 ( Intermediate + Advanced)
Prerequisites: Must have basic technical knowledge of the barbell squat, deadlift, and overhead press.
An advancement of the Functional FIT program which includes basic Olympic lifting movements (cleans, jerks, overhead squats, and snatches), as well as a greater focus on strength development with heavier weights and more advanced gymnastic movements.
Prerequisites: Must have basic technical knowledge of the squat, deadlift, and benchpress.
A class focused on developing strength and power in the primary powerlifting strength movements - squats, deadlifts and bench press, as well as accessory lifts such as the strict press, bent over row, dips, pull-ups, and more. Classes will occasionally finish with conditioning.
A comprehensive full body workout.
Morning Move has a strong focus on technique, stability and balance as a foundation for strength. Only after coordination is achieved in the body can the bodies abilities be fully utilized.
This class incorporates a wide range of bodyweight and resistance training tools. Expect individualized circuit training incorporating a combination of planks and dynamic core exercises, single leg and arm movements, TRX resistance training, and dumbbells.
Forge offers light contact, skill-based boxing training with qualified professional coaches.
Training will incorporate a warm-up, followed by boxing specific drills and techniques, shadow boxing, focus mitt training, and bag work.
This is open to all levels, from the first-time novice learning the ropes, to the amateur boxers looking to sharpen skills and work on conditioning and technique.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is a fast paced training method used to help you gain cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power. Jumpstart sessions are generally comprised of a progressive warm-up, followed by intervals of short, high intensity exercise separated by medium intensity exercises or rests for recovery, then a cool down period at the end of the session.
Each class will utilize a combination of some of Forge's favourite training tools, not limited to the prowler sled, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, battle ropes, and more.
Don't be intimidated however - this class is open to all levels from beginner to pro, and will be scaled to your specific needs and fitness.
No burpees - just boxing!
Learn and practice boxing in a safe and non-competitive environment. Classes will include a warm-up and cool-down stretch, shadow boxing, bag work, and pad work with qualified instructors.
This class is people of all skill levels and abilities, and all activities can be modified to fit your bodies needs. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy boxing, and this is the class to do it.
