Get ready for our inaugural in-house Deadlifting Competition! We will be hosting an IPF (International Powerlifting Federation) rule deadlift competition on November 25 from 2-5pm. Each lifter will have 3 attempts to achieve their maximum deadlift weight.

> All 24 spots have been filled! There are a variety of male and female lifters of varying experience and weight!

> Entry to the event is $6 in advance, $8 at the door. Entry includes a Picnic Coffee and a Yoni's donut!

> Money raised will be donated to our GHD equipment fund, and the Oak Bay Firefighters Charitable Foundation

> Prizes for the best male and female lifter, as well as best socks, best set-up, and best lift of the day!

In this session Dan will teach you how to custom tune your squat to improve performance and prevent injury.

This session will address functional anatomy, assessment, mobility, modifications and specific drills you can use to immediately improve your squatting!

Dan is a Chiropractor and movement enthusiast with a passion for sport and performance training

Learn and master the powerlifting "low bar" squat. Learn the detailed technical elements of the squat, proper muscle activation, preparation and warm-up methods, progressions, common errors, fixes, and more!

PART 2 OF 4 - SATURDAY JULY 15 @ 10AM

TECH SUPPORT: BENCH PRESS MASTERY

Time to bench press powerlifting style. Learn how to properly position your body to bench heavy while keeping your shoulders safe. In this seminar we will go into detail about using an arch, leg drive, proper bar path, and elbow positioning to help you master your own personal set-up.

PART 3 OF 4 - SATURDAY JULY 22 @ 10AM

TECH SUPPORT: DEADLIFTING 101

Learn how to safely lift heavy loads off of the ground!
Both the sumo and conventional deadlift will be taught at this seminar. We will go over the rules of deadlifting, how to brace and build tension, proper hip positioning, and much more.

PART 4 OF 4 - SATURDAY JULY 29 @ 10AM

Learn how to piece together technique in the main lifts, adding in your own custom assistance work and accessories, and basic programming knowledge to start getting stronger!

Programming and periodization principles such as overload, variation, specificity, manipulating volume & intensity, peaking, tapering, and fatigue management will be gone over in this seminar.
